There’s Always More

If you’re not a regular reader of The Gay Pages, you might be unaware that The Green Tailor is now, officially FAMOUS!!

I can’t tell you the excitement I feel at being in a nationally distributed magazine, and the pride I feel in having some recognition for the business.

Starting The Green Tailor last year was really a turn-around point for me, and the business has progressed beautifully in the past year and a half. I now have one full time tailor, and a handful of part-time employees doing this and that for me. We’ve got a great client base that keeps growing, and I’m enjoying the feeling of not sheer panic every second of the day.

The one thing that’s getting me down right now is that the business is still 100% dependent on my personal capacities, which are not infinite. As the business becomes more known, demand for my tailoring increases, and the more I sew the less time I have for the hundred other things involved in running a business.

Like writing this blog, which I kinda miss.

Right now I’m on the lookout to employ another tailor, because between Olga and myself we barely get through the alterations each week, and I’m doing the made-to-measure and bespoke work in the evenings. So another pair of skilled hands will go a long way.

Thanks for all the support peeps, I’m excited to see where the business goes from here.

  1. Congrats on that recognition, Benji! And you definitely need another member of staff! I know that there’s a pivotal point when you just manage to make enough money to hire another staff member without breaking the bank, and after you’ve done that it does get easier 🙂
